In addition to its Anatomical Mapping feature, which highlights key anatomical structures such as connective tissues and nerves, EUREKA has evolved into EUREKA X as of July 2025, with the addition of a new feature—Surg Metrics—which visualizes in real time various surgical parameters such as the volume of connective tissue, instrument motion, and bleeding, all of which are known to vary based on the surgeon’s level of experience.

Instrument Track

Gain insight into surgical technique through real-time AI tracking of instrument tip movements in surgical video.

Bleeding Review

AI detects and quantifies bleeding regions, enabling reverse, slow-motion, and repeated playback of bleeding scenes. All bleeding events are automatically captured, chaptered, and presented as thumbnails for quick and comprehensive post-operative review.

Surg Metrics

AI analyzes and visualizes in real time the trajectories of tissues and instruments, tissue volume and confidence, instrument motion parameters (speed, acceleration, jerk), and bleeding areas.

*Note: “Surg Metrics” is a term similar to the registered trademark “surgical metrics” and is used under permission granted by Dr. Ichiro Uyama and Dr. Koichi Suda.

  • LIVE Mode:Real-Time Analysis in the Operating Room

    Connect the endoscopic image via an SDI cable to a workstation running EUREKA X. Output the analyzed image to a monitor for immediate educational use in the operating room.
    Note: This product is intended for educational purposes only, not for clinical use.

  • VIDEO Mode:Retrospective Video Analysis

    Connect a storage device with surgical videos to the workstation via USB. Output the processed videos to a monitor for detailed analysis and review.
